Brazilian Bod Buff: Review

So I’m sure most of you reading this have heard of the website/app Influenster. For those of you that don’t know what Influenster is, you review products you’ve used. Then you can be selected to receive free products to test and review. I have slowly been adding to my reviews the past month and a week or so ago I got my first product offer!

Disclaimer: I received this product complimentary of Influenster, all opinions in this review are my own.

I received an email saying I was chosen to try out Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bod Buff, and to expect it in the mail soon. I was so excited I checked my tracking number every day!

Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bod Buff is an exfoliating scrub that doubles as a mask. It uses Amazon clay to moisturize and Brazilian quartz crystals to exfoliate. Their products are made here in the USA, cruelty- free and vegan friendly!

It finally arrived earlier this week and the first thing I was surprised by was the size! It is a full sized bottle not just a sample. Of course the first thing I did was smell it and boy does it smell good. It’s a very beachy, coconut, tropical smell and reminds me of tanning lotion.

First I tested it out on my face and I was very pleased with the results. The scrub left my face so soft and smooth, and unlike some other scrubs I’ve used it didn’t over dry it or cause redness. Big bonus there!

I then tested it on my legs and it again exfoliated like a dream! My legs were so smooth, worked great at taking off the dry dead winter skin. Who doesn’t want summer ready legs all year round!

A couple days later I again used it on my face, applying before I got in the shower, as a mask. I also applied to my neck, shoulders and upper chest. After five to ten minutes I got in the shower and scrubbed/rinsed off. I had the same great results and still no redness on my face even with two uses just two days apart. Most times after washing my face with a face wash or scrub my face is itchy until I apply moisturizer and that was not the case here! In fact after my second use I did not apply moisturizer.

Overall I think it’s a great product and highly recommend you can find it here. (It’s also now available at Sephora) If you are sensitive to smells it may be a little on the strong side for you. It is recommended you rinse with a cloth or sponge to ensure you remove it all. I just rinsed multiple times using only my hands, it took a little longer to feel it was fully washed off but still worked.
